Anti aging skin care products, creams, skin serum and skin lotions
Currently there are many clinically proven skin care treatments, including cosmetic surgery, laser skin rejuvenation, laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels, Botox injections, dermal fillers and other similar procedures performed by licensed physicians like Plastic Surgeons or Dermatologists.
However according to the cosmetic industry leaders there are easy, non-invasive ways to treat aging skin and those unwanted wrinkles. These are anti aging lotions, creams and serums that you apply to your facial skin yourself and don't normally require a prescription. They contain exotic advanced cosmetic ingredients like Idebenone, DMAE, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Edelweis Extract, Shea Butter, Caviar, Pitera, acai berry and so on.
Every once in a while, the beauty world elects its new anti aging star – the new one is the Swiss apple.
Scientists recently discovered a rare apple tree species in Switzerland whose apples seemed to stay 'forever young,' i.e., wouldn't get wrinkly over time, thanks to their resilient stem cells.
These cells, they figured, could be included in anti-aging beauty treatments in order to reduce wrinkles and prevent skin cells from dying.
Of course the only problem: there are just eight trees left of the tree species in question, namely the Uttwiler Spatlauber, which makes the resulting anti aging cream somewhat of an investment.
A former cosmetic star was Caviar: This elegant and expensive appetizer is simply sieved and lightly salted fish eggs. Sturgeon roe is premium and considered the "true" caviar. The three main types of caviar are beluga, oestra and sevruga. The best is from the beluga sturgeon that swim in the Caspian Sea, which is bordered by Russia and Iran.Beluga caviar is prized for its soft, extremely large eggs. It can range in color from pale silver-gray to black. Now it becomes a hot cosmetic ingredient in different forms; antiaging creams, night serum, facial lotions etc.. Some of the superlatives about the cosmetic anti aging skin care products based on Caviar are:
- The first proven treatment for anti-aging
- This world-class skin care product tones, renews, and replenishes lost moisture in your complexion.
- Powerful antioxidant properties work overnight to help repair and prevent skin damage from free radicals.
- Your aging skin will glow and have a smooth, tightened texture.
Another exotic cosmetic ingredient which was discovered “accidently” is Pitera, The story tells us that few decades ago, a scientist noticed that the hands of old workers at a Japanese saké brewery looked beautiful and young. This was the inspiration behind five years of research by a team of scientists who screened through over 300 types of yeasts and refined the precise conditions for fermentation, leading to the discovery of this miracle anti aging ingredient, Pitera.
Pitera is a blend of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and organic acids that work together to allow the aging skin's natural surface rejuvenation process to function at its prime, enhancing the renewal of the skin's outer layer. Continued usage of Pitera leads to clearer looking, smoother skin.
A word of caution
Anti-aging skin care products like creams and serum may actually help reduce the appearance of aging skin. Generally, these anti aging creams do not permanently reduce wrinkles and fine lines, but either help remove the dead outer layer of skin or hydrate the aging skin and plump it up, giving temporary appearance of reducing wrinkles. Some temporary anti aging results can be seen after about 30 days. But, once you stop using the antiaging product, the wrinkles and fine lines return, making ongoing anti aging skin care product use quite expensive. In addition, the effectiveness of most antiaging brands have not been scientifically studied or published in medical journals.
Assessing safety and effectiveness - there is no guarantee
The FDA classifies anti aging creams and lotions as cosmetics, which are defined as having no medical value or in simple words – does not change the aging skin foundation – the dermis. The FDA regulates them less strictly than it does for medical drugs. This means that anti aging and anti wrinkles products for self use don't need to undergo rigorous testing for safety and effectiveness before approval to go on the market.
The FDA does step in, however, when advertisements portray cosmetics as drugs like claiming anti wrinkle skin treatments that remove wrinkles permanently, or when cosmetics contain ingredients that may pose a potential health hazard to consumers.
Since the FDA doesn't evaluate cosmetic products for effectiveness, there's no guarantee that any over-the-counter product will reduce your wrinkles no matter what exotic cosmetic ingredient it contain.
